
Ed Fields, IOM, MBA - President, Association Management Services
Ed Fields is president of association management services for Projects Unlimited, Inc. A transplant from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Ed received his undergraduate degree in marketing from Alabama State University and earned his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Alabama’s prestigious Manderson School of Business. In 2007, Ed, a former chamber of commerce executive, completed his Institute of Management (IOM) designation, a nonprofit management certification, from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Ed currently serves as president for the Elizabeth Conwell Schlarb Foundation for Women Entrepreneurs board of directors. Ed also serves as a mentor for the Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center as well as the COMPASS project for African-American males at Center Street Middle School in Birmingham. In 2003, Ed was named Minority Business Advocate of the Year by the City of Birmingham’s Minority Business Opportunity Committee. In 2004,
Ed was recognized by the Birmingham Business Journal as one of the Birmingham business community’s “Top 40 Under 40.” Professional affiliations include the Birmingham Change Fund, Birmingham Urban League Young Professionals, Nonprofit Resource Center of Alabama and the Birmingham Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Cherie Fields - Vice President, Association Marketing Services
Birmingham-native Cherie Fields is co-owner and vice president of Projects Unlimited, Inc. Cherie has 15 years of public, media, employee, and community relations experience. She was named on Birmingham Magazine's "Hot List of 2006" and was named as one of the Birmingham Business Journal's "7 People to Watch in 2007." She recently received ACORN's "Standing on My Sister's Shoulders" award for her work in community service.
Professionally, Cherie has worked for prestigious firms including Protective Life Corporation, O2 Ideas and Lewis Communications. She has executed statewide and national PR campaigns for clients in wireless communications, tourism, law enforcement, education, automotive and fashion industries.
Personally, Cherie has appeared in national and local media, including FOX, C-SPAN, MTV, WB and UPN television networks to name a few. Also an actress and television host, Fields hosted the decorating show Time 4 Change on WIAT and starred as "Ms Davis" in the Red Mountain Theatre Company production of Back to the Dream. She has also performed for the Alys Stephens Center, the Birmingham Festival Theatre, the Birmingham Park Players, and the Levite Jewish Community Center Theatre. She had a small role in the 2003 film Big Fish as well as roles in independent films including Magic City and Snitchers. Cherie continues to obtain acting and modeling opportunities in a wide array of areas from print campaigns to corporate videos and commercials.
Cherie is very active in the community and currently serves on the board of directors of the Red Mountain Theatre Company and the Memorial Fund for Four Children. In addition, she is a member of the Birmingham Urban League Young Professionals and a mentor with the Alys Stephens Center’s Martin Hames Arts Mentoring Program.

Chrissie Brantley - Account Executive
Chrissie Brantley is an account executive for Projects Unlimited, Inc., She received her undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her combined experience of twenty years includes training, management, marketing, special events and fundraising.
Chrissie and her twin sister Debbie speak nationally as advocates for caregivers and children. It is their hope to increase awareness in the community of existing needs while offering a bridge to programs and services that will allow all families to thrive. She is a member of The Association of Fundraising Professionals.
